In the World Climate Declaration (WCD) Clintel particularly addresses international experts in the climate field. However, we now see a very interesting new development. The public is done with the fear-mongering stories of their government. They want to hear the other side of the story as well. That is exactly what Clintel is doing now, i.e., giving climate information that the public will not find in the mainstream media.
The Message to the Public (M2P) is written to inform the very large group of non experts worldwide. The M2P is a concise summary, explaining in simple terms and with a few simple graphs that there is no climate emergency and that governmental climate measures have no measurable effect on the climate. They have however a destructive effect on the economy.
The conclusion in the M2P is that climate models are far from suitable to be used in policymaking. In addition, it its concluded that climate policies should focus on adaptation technology. The current trillions spent on mitigation has never saved one climate victim, while adaptation saves millions of lives each year.
The Clintel ambassadors will guarantee that both the WCD and M2P will reach billions of people all over the world.
You could greatly help our cause by distributing this M2P to family, colleagues, friends and neighbours. Spread the Word!
Guus Berkhout, President of Clintel
Clintel is an Amsterdam (The Netherlands) based thinktank founded in 2019 by Dutch emeritus professor Guus Berkhout and science writer Marcel Crok. Clintel operates as a climate science and climate policy watchdog. In its first year it launched the World Climate Declaration, stating firmly “there is no climate emergency”. That declaration is now signed by more than 1400 scientists and experts.
Clintel wants to be independent from governments as these are the main funders of climate science and policy. In practice it means we need broad support from citizens and small and medium enterprises around the world.
