Interview with Mike Sankey
Name: Mike Sankey
Country: South Africa
What is your background?
I am a registered PMP (Project Management Professional) as well as a Professional Quantity Surveyor, so I hold a BSc QS Hons. I have been in the construction industry since qualifying in 1988. I have completed a number of diploma courses including Geology, Palaeontology, Meteorology, Oceanography, Earths Science, Environmental Management and Permaculture.
Since when and why are you interested in climate change?
I have always had an interest and considered the narrative. It really took shape during COVID. I was working for a University to deliver a hospital in Uganda, and as a result was able to receive the academic papers on COVID. My view is that this was also a disingenuous information scam. I saw that Oxford University research group did not understand maths and was predicting 10% fatality when suddenly they realised that anyone checking would see they misplaced the decimal point. Nothing we were told made sense and in fact everything the WHO told us was exactly the opposite of what was required. In South Africa, where I live, the rules were complete idiot. And no, the virus did not come from some bat eating lady in China. It was man made with US financial backing. So far the score is 40-0 to the conspiracy theorists.
How did your views on climate change evolve?
I watched The Inconvenient Truth and the sequel, dragged my family to watch both and thought this was leading edge science, except it wasn’t and is just rhetoric with a political and financial motivation. The more you investigate the science the more this turns out to be true.
Is climate change a big issue in your country and how do you notice this?
Why do you use the term Climate Change? What we are talking about is global warming/boiling/end of the world by 2030. I object to paying for phony taxation, like carbon tax for road use.
What would climate policy ideally look like in your view?
Why do we need a climate policy? It is naive to think that we humans can affect the climate. Geo-engineering is a mistake, and this is just being harnessed for military means. These systems can alter local weather only and do not have an effect on Climate.
What is your motivation to sign the CLINTEL World Climate Declaration?
So that my offspring may be able to look back and say at least someone of their older generation was fighting for them.
What question did we forget?
Is there global warming? Who is responsible or is this a natural phenomenon? Is there climate change?

A Thanksgiving Tribute to Global Warming and CO2
What if we celebrate Thanksgiving with a tribute to global warming and the relative abundance of carbon dioxide (CO2) in our atmosphere? An outrageously scandalous thought, right? To propose we honor what global elites and their compliant media insist are bringing on certain doom. Yet, this is precisely what sound thinking demands.
What is a “climate crisis?”
Before we declare a ‘climate crisis,’ perhaps we need a clear definition — grounded not in fear, but in evidence. This piece argues for quantifiable metrics over rhetoric.
COP30 fumbles the hard issue into the future
According to David Wojick the COP30 climate summit in Belém ended without resolving its toughest challenges — delaying decisions on fossil-fuel phase-outs, climate finance and trade policies until some unspecified “future roadmap.”
