The Launch of Clintel Korea: Restoring Science, Exposing the ‘Green Energy Scam’ and Defending Energy Freedom
On October 23rd, 2025, Clintel Korea was launched in a festive ceremony in Seoul, organised by Clintel ambassador Prof. Seok Park.
The event, held at Elora in Garden, marked the official establishment of the Korea Branch of the Climate Intelligence Foundation (Clintel) — a global network of scientists and experts advocating for evidence-based climate understanding.
The ceremony drew strong attention from the academic, industrial, and media communities, celebrating Korea’s entry into the international alliance for rational climate science.
Under the slogan “There Is No Climate Crisis — Clean, Beautiful Coal!”, the launch aimed to foster a culture of open, fact-based debate and to restore scientific balance in Korea’s climate and energy discourse.
Messages from International Leaders
Guus Berkhout, Founder and President of Clintel, welcomed the establishment of Clintel Korea with the message:
“Truth grows only in open debate. I expect Korea to play an important role within the international Clintel network.”
Berkhout shared his experience in restoring balance to global climate discourse through data-driven scientific cooperation.
Franco Battaglia, Head of Clintel Italy, emphasized perseverance in truth-telling:
“In Italy, we achieved social change because we never stopped speaking the voice of science. Even uncomfortable truths must be spoken continuously if we are to change society. I hope Clintel Korea will follow the same path.”
Both messages received enthusiastic applause, reaffirming that Clintel Korea’s founding declaration would resonate far beyond Korea’s borders.
Founding Declaration: “Restoring Science and Protecting the Nation from Ideological Manipulation”
In its official declaration, Clintel Korea pledged to “restore the essence of climate issues through science and data, and to protect the national economy and industry from ideological exploitation.”
The ceremony included welcoming remarks and a joint declaration by Co-Representatives Dong Yeop Lee and Dr. Ki Hong Kim, along with video messages from Guus Berkhout and Franco Battaglia.
The founding statement, released in both Korean and English, will be distributed to international partners, research institutions, and relevant U.S. government departments within the Trump administration.
The Catalyst: President Trump’s UN Speech
One of the direct inspirations for Clintel Korea’s founding was President Donald Trump’s speech at the United Nations on September 24th, 2025, where he repeatedly denounced the “Green Energy Scam.” President Trump criticized the politically motivated push for carbon neutrality and green energy mandates that have, in his words, “undermined industries, the middle class, and national competitiveness.”
Clintel Korea interpreted this statement as a global call to re-establish balance in climate policy. Amid growing international reassessment of carbon-neutral strategies, Korea recognized the urgent need for a new, evidence-based energy roadmap grounded in cost–benefit analysis and technological feasibility.
Clintel Korea was founded as an independent platform for scientific research, education, and policy review to achieve precisely that.
Structure and Core Missions
Clintel Korea operates through four primary divisions:
- Scientific Research Division
- Economic & Industrial Division
- Education & Youth Division
- Policy & Society Division
The organization is built upon three core missions:
1) To inform society and citizens with sound climate science and accurate observational data.
Climate and energy problems cannot be solved through emotional rhetoric or political calculation. Policy and language—such as “climate crisis”—must be grounded in objective evidence. Fear-based marketing without empirical basis must cease.
2) To expose the falsehood of carbon neutrality and correct national energy policy.
Carbon neutrality targets are often set without realistic or technical assessment, resulting in massive social costs.
As demonstrated by cases in Germany and the United Kingdom, excessive expansion of solar and wind energy—low in efficiency and reliant on subsidies—has led to surging electricity prices and weakened industrial competitiveness.
3) To provide education on climate and environmental truth for youth and entrepreneurs.
“Around the world, the fraudulent campaigns of ‘climate crisis’ and ‘carbon neutrality’ are inflicting the greatest harm on young people and enterprises.” Through books, lectures, and online platforms such as YouTube and Rumble, Clintel Korea will spread accurate, evidence-based understanding.
The declaration also addressed international imbalance:
The Paris Climate Accord has imposed unequal obligations between developed and developing nations. While China continues to build new coal plants and expand green-technology exports using cheap electricity, many Western countries are dismantling stable energy sources at great national cost. Korea, it argued, must adopt a science-based, sovereign energy policy rather than blind adherence to UN IPCC dictates.
The declaration urged the Korean government to:
- Abolish the “climate-environment charge” on electricity bills;
- Terminate renewable-energy subsidy programs;
- Reinforce nuclear power as the most efficient, stable energy source;
- Reorganize climate-related governmental bodies whose bureaucracy hinders the national economy.
In conclusion, the statement affirmed:
“Science must stand above ideology. Clintel Korea will be the platform that safeguards that truth.”

Seok Soon Park
Leadership and International Cooperation
Professor Seok Soon Park (Former President of the National Institute of Environmental Research) serves as Clintel Ambassador for Korea, the only official Clintel representative in Asia, bridging Korea with the international scientific community.
Dong Yeop Lee and Dr. Ki Hong Kim, Co-Representatives, will oversee external affairs and academic programs respectively, leveraging their experience in research, policy consulting, and education.
In addition to Professor Park, and Co-Representatives Lee and Kim. Clintel Korea has seven Co-Founders, including Chul Moon Kim, Joo Han Kim, Seung Yong Choi, and Kyu Jin Kim, who are the former presidential secretary, Christian pastor, and Professor.
Through cooperation with intellectual networks in South Korea, the United States, and the European Union, Clintel Korea will work to counter and ultimately dismantle the China-centered green agenda — the so-called “Green Energy Scam” — and to develop Korean-led, science-based energy and climate policy models for the future.
Clintel Korea will distribute its founding statement and video materials to international think tanks and policy institutions, while establishing communication channels with U.S. and European partners to convey Korea’s scientific perspective on global policy changes.
Participation in APEC 2025 – Korea Joins the Global Stage
On October 29th, 2025, during the APEC 2025 Summit in Rep. of Korea, President Donald Trump’s visit to Korea, along with the leaders of Asian-Pacific Countries became a rallying point for thousands of freedom-minded citizens and students.
Clintel Korea joined the welcoming event, holding a large banner with “I ❤️ CO₂” and “Clean, Beautiful Coal.”

This message—co-developed with CO₂ Coalition USA—symbolized the alliance between American and Korean scientists to restore truth in climate science. The rally was not merely ceremonial; it was a declaration to dismantle the China-driven Green Energy Scam.
During his keynote at APEC 2025, President Trump echoed the slogan “Clean, Beautiful Coal” multiple times, stating that “The partnership between the United States and Korea will prosper again through clean and beautiful coal technology.”
This unexpected alignment drew major media coverage, making the Clintel Korea slogan a global talking point.
Toward a New National Think Tank
Clintel Korea’s ultimate goal is to become a national think tank for evidence-based governance and the advancement of true climate science. As Co-Representative Dong Yeop Lee concluded:
“Science must stand above ideology, and with the light of truth, we will set Korea’s climate policy and future on the right path.”
