La COP30 ment pour justifier son existence
La COP30 se justifie à l’aide de la désinformation climatique, et a réécrit le passé pour revendiquer une victoire qu’elle n’a jamais méritée.
L’accord de la COP30 affirme que le monde était auparavant sur la voie d’un réchauffement de plus de 4 °C jusqu’à ce que l’accord de Paris « infléchisse » héroïquement cette trajectoire à 2,3–2,5 °C :
Cependant, « il s’agit de désinformation », affirme Roger Pielke Jr., professeur d’études environnementales à l’Université du Colorado à Boulder. C’est une fiction bâtie sur les vestiges du scénario RCP8.5 — le scénario extrême que les scientifiques ont discrètement abandonné il y a des années, car il impliquait une utilisation impossible du charbon, une démographie improbable et un effondrement économique qui ne s’est jamais produit.
La COP30 ressuscite un scénario irréaliste et rejeté afin de pouvoir prétendre que Paris a sauvé le monde. Le problème ce sont les données : Les émissions réelles ne montrent aucune inflexion de la courbe, aucun ralentissement et aucun « effet de Paris ».
L’accord de Paris n’a pas modifié les émissions, mais a fourni une justification permanente à la taxation du climat, au rationnement de l’énergie et au démantèlement d’un réseau électrique bon marché et fiable – fondement de la prospérité économique.
La COP30 a besoin d’une victoire pour justifier son existence. Elle a donc réécrit l’histoire : inventer une trajectoire de réchauffement de 4 °C, prétendre que Paris l’a infléchie et se féliciter d’avoir sauvé l’humanité.
Le monde n’a jamais évolué vers le scénario RCP8.5. L’accord de Paris n’a pas modifié les émissions.

Friends of the Earth Netherlands recently filed an appeal with the Dutch Hoge Raad against Shell and the Mens en Milieu Foundation in a last effort to force the company to implement significant worldwide emissions reductions. Lucas Bergkamp, a physician and attorney in Brussels, assisted Mens en Milieu in the proceeding and reported on the hearing: “Friends of the Earth looked tired and sounded like a spoiled child.”
