Friends of the Earth Netherlands presentó recientemente un recurso ante el Hoge Raad contra Shell y la Fundación Mens en Milieu, en un último intento por obligar a la compañía a aplicar importantes reducciones de emisiones a escala mundial. Lucas Bergkamp, médico y abogado radicado en Bruselas, asistió a la Fundación Mens en Milieu durante el proceso y comentó sobre la audiencia: “Friends of the Earth parecía agotada y sonaba como un niño malcriado”.

„Friends of the Earth“ Niederlande hat kürzlich beim niederländischen Hohen Rat (Hoge Raad) Berufung gegen Shell und die Stiftung „Mens en Milieu“ eingelegt, um das Unternehmen in einem letzten Versuch zu deutlichen weltweiten Emissionsreduktionen zu bezwingen. Lucas Bergkamp, Arzt und Anwalt in Brüssel, unterstützte „Mens en Milieu“ in dem Verfahren und berichtete über die Anhörung: „Die Mitglieder von ‚Friends of the Earth‘ wirkten müde und klangen wie ein verwöhntes Kind.“

L’association « Friends of the Earth Netherlands » a récemment déposé un recours auprès du Hoge Raad (la cour suprême néerlandaise) contre Shell et la fondation Mens en Milieu, dans une ultime tentative pour contraindre l’entreprise à mettre en œuvre des réductions significatives de ses émissions mondiales. Lucas Bergkamp, médecin et avocat à Bruxelles, qui a assisté Mens en Milieu dans cette procédure, a rendu compte de l’audience : « Les Friends of the Earth semblaient épuisés et se sont comportés comme des enfants gâtés ».

Friends of the Earth Netherlands recently filed an appeal with the Dutch Hoge Raad against Shell and the Mens en Milieu Foundation in a last effort to force the company to implement significant worldwide emissions reductions. Lucas Bergkamp, a physician and attorney in Brussels, assisted Mens en Milieu in the proceeding and reported on the hearing: “Friends of the Earth looked tired and sounded like a spoiled child.”
