Fritz Fahrenholt
There is a lot of political unrest in Germany at the moment. One of the important elements of this unrest, is the energy crisis. High energy prices are a burden for many households and German industrial production is declining fast. The well-known climate sceptic dr. Fritz Vahrenholt recently held a presentation for the Atlas Initiative and stated that politicians are fully responsible for the German energy crisis.
In his presentation (in German) Vahrenholt focuses on the huge problems of the current approach by the German government. He talks about the high costs, the need for backup for renewable energy sources and the problems with hydrogen, heat pumps and of course the closure of the German nuclear plants. Vahrenholt also speaks about the threat of climate change itself and concludes that much of the climate panic (in the media) is based on a highly implausible climate scenario.
